I see that there are test panels already put together. Am I limited to ordering those panels, or can I customize my own orders?

Principal Lab Systems puts the patient’s needs first. Clinically relevant panels have been created and are offered to simplify the ordering process. However, practitioners can fully customize their orders using individual markers or panels based on the patient’s needs. They can also create and save their own unique panels for regular ordering. Principal Lab Systems proprietary ordering software provides immediate access and discounted pricing to hundreds of standard LabCorp markers.

How do I order laboratory panels and/or markers?

All laboratory orders are placed, tracked, and received using Principal Lab Systems specialized electronic interface. Orders are received immediately into Lab Corp’s COR repository. Results are posted within seconds of release and are availability for download using the same bidirectional software interface.

Do I have to make an appointment with the draw center?

However, if you will not be making an appointment, it is a good practice to call the draw center to inquire and ask for their schedule and availabilities. For your convenience, draw center appointments can be made directly on Lab Corp’s website.

Are these blood tests done while fasting?

Dietary, fasting and other testing requirements are unique and dependent upon the test being ordered. Check with your ordering practitioner regarding pre-test protocols.

Does Principal Lab Systems have contracted accounts with other laboratory draw sites in addition to LabCorp?

At this time, Lab Corp’s more than 1700 service centers provide the broadest national coverage for our customers. Additional contracts with other specialized labs are currently being negotiated and will be implemented in the software when ready.

After patients have their blood drawn, how will they be able to get the results?
